Atlanta Bed Bug Solution
One Treament Eradication Process

Treatment and Solution

Treatment by Heat

Traditional pesticides will alert the bedbug of an obvious danger and the bedbug will drive itself deeper into cracks and crevasses to avoid the toxins.  A bedbug can live as long as a year without food, which is longer than the typical effects of the average 30 day process from an exterminator’s chemical treatment.  Once the toxic treatment is detected by a guest, it will leave an uneasy feeling with guest while spending the night.  The pesticides used may also have an adverse of an allergic reaction to some guest.

When a bedbug senses heat they are alerted to a possible food supply.  You could say this is like drawing a moth to the flame.  While the temperature in the room is slowly rising the bedbugs are drawn to the heat rather than running from traditional pesticides.  As the temperature rises the bedbugs die.  Not only the adult bedbug, but the nymphs and the eggs are destroyed as well.  This is the only method that destroys the entire life cycle of the bedbug.  The by-product of this process is that it not only destroys the bedbugs, it will kill off any other pest in the home as well as bacteria, mold and odors.  So for the price of the bedbug eradication, you are receiving additional services to benefit you home and your health.

  • Before service are initiated we will stage the property.  This will consist of cleaning removing and properly storing gentle heat sensitive items (Candles, record albums, any aerosol cans and soda cans and bottles).  If you home or property has sprinkler heads those will need to be covered and protected as a precautionary procedure.  Sprinkler heads will normally set off at 153 degrees.  We never go over 143-145, but we believe better to side with caution.

  • Your furniture will have to be staged, by propping up couch cushions, standing mattresses and boxes springs upright, to allow the maximum ventilation and heated air movement so that all contents reach a surface tempature of 120+ degrees.  During the heat treatment we will montitor and rotate your contents as needed.
  • Then we will introduce the heat.  This is the bed bugs dinner bell.  When they detect heat they will come out to search for food.  It much like drawing a moth to the flame.  Once they figure out it is a danger to them, its too late.
  • We will start to cool down the dwelling with ventilation.  During this process we will hepa vac you property and start placing the home back in order
